4th June 2011 Windsurfing: Spray Wind Direction: NE Wind Stength: 20-30mph Surf / Sea State: FLAT Air Temperature: fine Sea Temperature: ok Weather: sunny and windy Max Speed: Distance Covered: Wasn't expecting a morning sail, was just at Spray with Meg for her kids club .... but the flat see and gusty cross-off NE winds and knowing I had the SL Sport boards in the van had me twitching ... I had resigned myself to not using them until my new cammed sails came through, but I still had the Duke 6.9m in the van .... so after messing about with fin bolts etc (tuttle fins in deep tuttle fin boxes needed longer bolts than I had, but I found couple others in the van but tooo long ... spacers / washers later and they were right length, sort of!!) Jumped into my shorty, waist harness donned, and go go go .... and did that combo just GO GO GO or what .... OH YES BABY !!! Had a cracking time just burning up anyone and everyone I could, snaking through the sailing boats and windsurfers alike .... it was all going so well until Meg told me that I was such an embarrassment because I was using a pink sail (code blackberry to those in the know) and a red board together .... kids huh !!! I'd almost forgotten how much fun blasting about at warp speed was |
